Robert J. “Bob” Bergantino (1960-2012)

Robert J. Bergantino

I received very sad news last night of the loss of another friend and co-worker in the serialization and track and trace industry.  Bob Bergantino, most recently of Excellis Health Solutions, worked for SupplyScape at the same time I did.  We didn’t work on any projects or sales together but Bob was such a cheerful and inviting person that I couldn’t help but know and love him.  Bob had a magnetic personality and was full of wit, charm and love for everyone around him.  We will all miss him.

Bobby B. as I will always remember him.

I am told that Bob succumbed to cancer yesterday after, in the words of our mutual friend, Greg Cathcart, a valiant fight against it.  Greg provided the link to the full obituary and funeral details.

Dirk.

  1. Bobby was a wonderful person. I adored him and value knowing him. I was proud to call him my friend. He never failed to light up a room and make everyone feel they were the most important person there. We lost a good one.

  2. I worked with Bob on a project last/earlier this year and found him a big-hearted man who was happy to share his knowledge with everyone.

  3. Dirk,

I wanted to THANK YOU for your note/picture/tribute to Bobby B. Bobby was a leader amongst men and industry who had a heart of gold. Bob was a founding member of Excellis Health and will be missed dearly. We celebrated his life with his family in Boston the past 2 days and I am glad to report they are all doing well..

    Regards,

    Greg Cathcart

  4. Dirk, thank you for the wonderful tribute to Bobby. He was a dear friend and I (and all others who loved him as I did) will miss him greatly.
